5,700 square feet 12 year old house with central AC for 2nd floor just stopped working. Since AC for first floor was working, only 2nd floor central AC was replaced. Carrier Performance 17 Puron AC 4 ton 16.5 SEER with new thermostat will be installed. Estimate of $10,607 minus $1,500 fed credit minus $600 state credit minus $1,000 Carrier credit for FINAL TOTAL of $7,507. Is this amount reasonable? |

Replaced an old 3 ton a/c system with a Goodman GSX13 410a system. A/C unit alone lists @ $1,818.99. Needed new lines(45 feet), evaporator coil & plenum. Was the labor and material costs worth the additional $1,800? |

Our compressor just went on our heat pump this is the 2nd compressor and warranty is almost expired, unit is very old, got estimate for brand new Luxaire unit 14.5 SEER, told everything inside and out would be new for about $5000. Figured it would be better to replace unit before it starts nickel and diming us. Is $5000 reasonable? |

I purchased a foreclosed home mostly completed in a total redo. There are 3 Goodman furnaces and 3 Goodman AC compressors. It is a 3000 SF house. 2 story with full basement. !000 SF per floor. One furnace and one compressor per floor. The heat system was complete. Only thing left was line set for 3 compressors. The electrical connections were complete. What other info is necessary to estimate my expected cost to complete? If this is enough for a rough idea that would be helpful. Thanks |

I have been quoted $6,640 for a 2 ton American Standard 15.25 SEERS A/C Heat pump. I will be getting the $1500 tax credit. It has the ten year parts warranty. Am I paying too much? It has not been installed yet. |
