Upgraded my 10yr old Goodman A/C unit for a Trane. AS Heating & Cooling were great to work with and had the better pricing and financing between the 3 certified Trane installers for the area. Great team and quick to work. Had the team at my house and unit installed within 2 days. Included Removal of existing unit, and install of new unit to existing cables/lines. 10 yr Trane warranty and 2 years maintenance by Atlantic Shores. |

Help. need to consider replacing builder installed HVAC unit (Carrier) Have 1130 sq. ft. Need 3 ton unit (or so I have been told) nothing fancy..just good, basic energy efficient system. One bid for an Amer. Standard came in at $6200, yet online research states these can be installed totally including labor for $3600 +/-. Other bids for Rheem, Carrier came in at $3200 (no heat pump, existing duct work is only 10 years old...) |

I am in the process, and as a single woman, it is difficult to compare these units. All are 3.5 ton, heat pumps, 15 seer, UV light, nothing changed with duct work. Feel like the Bryant is best choice? |

This is the total cost estimate I just received to replace my 12 year old 4 ton split AC unit here in SW Florida. Cost is parts and labor for the outside AC unit (15 SEER) and the inside air handler. The air handler is mounted in the garage from the ceiling. No duct work is involved in this project ... Don't know if this is a fair price? |

As a former A/C contractor, this is my cost to install a new Goodman furnace and a 5 ton split system A/C. The cost covers refrigerant, copper pipe, and misc materials (torch, brazing rod, etc). The equipment is purchased on the Internet. I would install a better furnace if I lived up north. |

I live in dallas. replacing a 25 year old unit. 2200 SQ feet. Cant seem to get an estimate under 6K. Is this out of line? Seems really high. Old one works still but wanted more energy efficent and not to keep paying $$ every year to keep old one running. But still repairs are under 500 each year. |

I received two estimates for Goodman A/C unit and both include compressor, coil and labor, with 1 year labor and 10 years on a/c unit. 2.0 ton at $2450 and 2.5 ton at $2550. These are registered/licensed A/c installers. Date: June 2013 (NOT 2012) |

I think the price was comparable between contractors and was very please with the HVAC company and their installation contractor. I will use them again when the second unit expires. I love the two stage system! |

Fan motor replaced which immediately blew 80 amp breaker outside. Replaced breaker, then 100 amp breaker inside started to trip. Reliable said to get an elecrician...electrician found nothing replaced 100amp as Relaible had suggested, then found that compressor leads were melted...I think the guy who exchanged the motor messed something up...What do you think....now advising new unit. Have 5 ton 96 carrier now. |
