Traditional exterior stucco is made of natural materials; it consists of three layers or coats of a mix of sand, cement and water, applied over a wire or wood lath. Mock or synthetic stucco is lighter, and often uses a foam insulation base.
Typical costs:
Stucco installation runs around $6-$9 a square foot, or about $12,000-$18,000 for a 2,000-square-foot exterior of a 3-bedroom home, depending on the complexity of the project, the location and the local economy.
Costs vary considerably for smaller projects, such as repairing the stucco after installing new windows. For example, a Northern California contractor has a minimum fee of $1,200 to repair stucco around two medium-sized windows.
DoItYourself.com[1] provides detailed directions for a repairing a small area of stucco. Materials would cost $20-$50.
HomeInspections.com[2] outlines common problems with one-coat stuccos and a specific type of synthetic stucco--Exterior Insulation Finish Systems or EFIS.

This was a tough house to stucco. The lathers said it was the hardest job they'd done because of all the exposed timbers and corbels. We already had scaffolding in place. The stucco consisted of: hand nailed lath (bit stronger than stapled), three layes of paper scratch coat with fiber brown coat with fiber one month cure time Primer coat to help with color match 1st synthetic stucco, trowled and brushed with sponge 2nd synthetic coat trowled and brushed The finish looks like a California white washed adobe
Stucco in the Northern California area: Regular 3 coat system -scratch,brown coat & finish coat Medium finish runs between 80-90.00 per yard. Fine finish ( smooth wall) is 30% more = 117.00 per yard STO or Le Habra finish This is out the door price on average

Ken and Randy patched all of the gaps around my new windows and re-textured around the lower half of my house then painted the house and with with Sherwin Williams commercial paint, it looks like brand new! They also painted the interior and installed new carpet and tile (they do beautiful work) and they didn't charge extra for repairing drywall or removing old paint from door knobs and hinges! there ph# is 505-510-FAST these guys are so professional and they gave me a lifetime warranty on all labor, I called Ken last month to repaint a shelf in my pantry that got stained (my fault) he repainted that day and refused to take my money! He said it's still under warranty!
Very great job this guy did, he had it done in 4 days and he showed up to the job with all tools and only his dog to hold the ladder. I was surprised to see him finish this all by himself. we bought pizza and we were very happy with the work and the price of $45,775 dollars
These guys were great. ROB and his crew were very honest knowledgeable. We got 3 estimates and his wasnt the lowest but his references we stella and we chose him. We are very glad we did. 4 years and not a crack or complaint. Would use him again
These guys didn't seem to know what they were doing. They used J-channels around the arches, then made them rounded. They used the wrong metal in the corners also. It cracked in a dozen places in the first few weeks. We asked that fiberglass be used and he said he used a "tried and true" method. He knows nothing of the modern methods known to reduce cracking.

Remodeled veranda of upstairs master suite. Stucco work consisted of 2 new half-height walls extending 6' from the edge of the house and repairing stucco adjacent the french door-frame leading out to the veranda. 1 guy for about 8 hours (4 hous day 1, then he came to paint and finish a few days later).
Andres and Lupe where the highest rated company I found in Colorado very proffecional clean job and very polite here is their site if you would like a quote http://gonzalezstucco.com/ they are mid range price but well worth it my savings in energy is about 40% amazing I'm saving 149 a month of course I got new windows etc but you see the picture pays itself
We saw a house with walls like the ones you see in Italy, absolutely beautiful, so, we knocked on the door and asked the homeowner abt the contractor who did their house and the experience. We were told a company called Gorgeous Homes is one of the few that actually has Artisians to do this kind of Stucco. Even though it was higher than the other Stucco, we went for it and now our house is really nice. We are very happy with their work and final outcome.
These guys came exactly on time. Performed work in a really professional matter. And with Great Quality!...My neighbors were all jealous..lol... They made construction around the house seem like a breeze. No complaints
